Yarr, be that a swashbuckler rogue I spy? But that's too easy...so mayhaps a spirit barbarian, for the spectral touch.
I love this! I always enjoy a good pirate--errr, a bad pirate?...and the Captain and his crew are most interesting. Here's hoping he gets at least a little adventuring in. I have a number of unused D&D characters myself, so I know how that goes.
There are (Arrr?)! The joys of this one being originally "just for me" is I was able to just let my mind go in whichever direction it wants to, which usually means random references. Lol
Just out of curiosity, which ones did you catch and which one was your favorite?
Captain Peter O'Hare: both Peter Rabbit and the rabbit of the famous race between the tortoise and hare. Further evidence is a tortoise ghost crew.
Peg Leg Pete: First version of Mickey Mouse's rival, Pete.
Jake: One of the kids in that Nick/Disney Jr. show. I only know this because someone online pointed out how hilarious it was that the kids were supposed to be pirates but taught morals like "don't steal."
Sea Witch: Ursula?
I'm not confident that I'm right about all of it, but there you go!
You got some of my favorite ones! The "Sea Witch" was just supposed to be a personification of the Sea, but given how she's portrayed I can get the connection. You get a gold doubloon!
And yes, my kids were little when Disney was first airing Jake and the Neverland Pirates, so I heard that poor, misguided child say "And remember kids, a pirate never steals," one too many times. Lol

He did have some levels of Ancestral Barbarian for the ghost crew! One gold doubloon for you!
There be so many references, yarr. What swashbuckling fun!

I had to cross reference for this list, lol.

But also, there's other random references in there still. 😉
Ahhh, I guess I’ll have to re-read the story. :)
Also, thank ye for the dubloon!
